FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I offer 3 different sessions.  Full sessions, Half sessions and Mini sessions. Full sessions and Half Sessions the month of April/ May and Sept 15th- Dec 31st are an additional $50. Mini Sessions the months of  April/ May Sept 15th -December are $225. I don't offer packages but if you purchase multiple sessions together I will offer a significant discount. Great idea for baby's first year!

Full photo sessions last about 45 minutes (extra charge for sessions lasting longer than an hour). Sessions are scheduled in the morning or afternoon for best light. Scheduling should be flexible and may change depending on weather. 

For simplicity my Full session includes all of your edited images. I edit every image myself so your investment is in my time and personal attention to detail. My session fee is $500 (up to 4 people and up to 45 min of shooting) See below for Spring Fall/Holiday Pricing.  A full session yields at least 25 images.  All images will have a print release and will be downloaded from a link provided. (Additional charges for locations outside of a 30 minute driving distance. Each person after four is an additional $25.00 charge). Excessive editing requested will be an additional charge. Cancellations made without proper notice may require a deposit to reschedule.

Half sessions are 30 minute sessions for $325 which include your choice of 12 high res digital files chosen from an unedited gallery. Finals choices will be edited. Option to buy more. ($375, April/May, Sept 15th-Dec 31st) Additional digital images $25 each.     

Mini- Sessions Mini sessions are offered for $175. ($225 April/May Sept 15-Dec)  I usually do minis in my neighborhood but will be happy to offer them at a location that I am already scheduled for. These 10-15 min sessions are perfect for if you just want few shots instead of a whole session. Perfect for your Christmas Cards or Birthday photos. You will get 5 files with the mini session fee with the option to buy more prints or files over the 5.  Themed Minis will be an additional charge and will differ depending on what is offered.  Ex. Sunflowers, Tree farm, Animals etc..   

April/ May and Fall/Christmas Family Sessions: September 15th-December are an additional $50.  I offer a limited number of full sessions over the holidays.  Once I book up all of my full sessions I am only offering half sessions for $375. These sessions are perfect for all of your Holiday Card or gift giving needs. Since Fall is my busiest time of year I will require a $50 non refundable deposit prior to your appt time. Additional fees will apply for families over 5 or location distance.

I am available Mon- Friday 8-5pm for email and phone.  I usually shoot on the weekends so I am not in the office.   If you don't hear back from me the next day please contact me again.  I am my own worst secretary :)

I am in the Canton/Holly Springs area.  I shoot in the Roswell area often.  I will travel up to 30 minutes from my location before I have to charge a travel fee. 

Some of the locations I frequent require me to have permit to use them. We must adhere to the rules at all times. I try to make sure all the locations I use are safe but when we are out in nature we need to be aware of our surroundings at all times.

My locations that I pay for I will request a deposit same with peak weekend dates ( spring and fall).  The deposit is non refundable and only transferable if circumstances out of our control come up.  That being said I am a Mom and I know things happen. I will try to be as accommodating as possible.

My style of editing is less is more.  I try very hard not to make it look like photoshop at all.  I will take off a blemish here or there but I don't do anything crazy.  Additional editing requests may require an extra charge.  Please look though my images to get a sense of my style.  

What to wear?????? (The question most asked)

My answer: I have no idea! I will probably be in jeans and flip flops though ;)

Really- I never know what to say to this except be comfortable, be yourself and wear something you aren’t scared to sit in the grass in. Coordinate but you don’t have to match. More than two colors is always a good idea. I love accessories and layering. Scarves, headbands, hats etc. Take the youngest (cutest) person in the group and coordinate around their outfit.  Scroll through my website or FB page for ideas. (I have some really stylish clients) You can always find ideas and Pinterest of course..

A change of shoes is a good idea if we have to walk a bit for certain locations. 

Simply Newborn Sessions:

Please look at my gallery and make sure I am the photographer for you. There are so many newborn photographers out there and I want to make sure my style suits your needs. I want to capture your special new time with your baby in your space. I consider my newborn photographs “lifestyle photography.” While I appreciate the prop/ staged photographs that are abundant now- it isn’t my style.  I don’t come to you with fake backgrounds or backdrops. I want to capture your new miracle in your own home, in your arms, surrounded by your own things with their loved ones. My pictures are simple and tell the story of the new life in your house. Each shoot is different. We shoot for light so whichever room in your house has the best light - is where we will be, because of this sometimes we have to reschedule for a gloomy day even though we are inside. I prefer for the babies to be under 2 weeks old but it isn’t necessary. Newborn shoots always take longer than an hour. I don’t charge extra for the time. I like to schedule them around noon on a weekday if possible.  I have some great names of friends who are amazing at the studio newborn photos and will be happy to send you their way.  

Seniors:

I love love love seniors! YES you can change clothes as many times as you would like but keep in mind the timeframe allotted for your session. 3 outfits for a full session and 2 for a half work best. Most boys only want a mini session and the girls want a full session. I now offer a half session which is a happy compromise for parents. I always suggest family pictures at same time (multitasking). Bring a blanket or a sheet to change behind. Bring your Mom or Dad - you don't have to of course but senior pics are a special time for them too and I usually have them jump in one or two pictures with you. And yes bring your dog or your truck or your baby pictures. I am game for whatever you want to do for your senior pictures. Your ideas are always better than mine. Full sessions split between friends turns out to be a really good deal.  A good option for Cap and Gown pictures in Spring.
